Horseback Riding in the SmokiesThere are five drive-in horse camps with handy access to backcountry trails in the Smokies. Horseback riding is available from mid-March to mid-November and rates run $15 per hour. For information about a specific area call the following numbers: Cades Cove (865) 448-6286 Additionally, if you are into Arabian horses, Smoky Mountain Park Arabians, located nearby in Lenoir City TN, are breeders of fine English Pleasure and Park horses Arabian horses, and sell stallions, mares and foals. |

They are located at Cades Cove in Tennessee and at Big Creek, Cataloochee, Round Bottom, and Tow String in North Carolina. For reservations, call 800-365-2267 (Park code GRE) 10am until 10pm. There is a $30 ($35 at Big Creek) fee per site. A maximum of 4 horses and 6 people are allowed at each site.
